Halloween was full of treats for us here at Chilli Pepper as we spent the day at Perton Golf Club, Staffordshire at what was our favourite event of the year……..so far!! We joined Ali McNamara, Director of AJ Case Management, to deliver a networking and training day for therapy business owners, associate case managers, associate therapists and associate expert witnesses. Ali developed the day for associates, small business owners and people making the move from an employed role to being self -employed.
As the founder and MD of Chilli Pepper Development Ltd, Peter Starr was invited to speak and share his learnings from the journey of growing the Chilli business from zero. His key messages were to change people’s mindsets and demystify sales; and to encourage continual momentum and positive actions from business owners.
It must be highlighted how diverse the networks were within the room and it was fabulous! It worked so well. With most delegates being clinicians, so highly skilled in their field but with the desire to go it alone, the wealth of knowledge in regards to developing sales skills and growing a business was greatly received by the room.
Kicking off the study day was Pippa Hawkes, Director of BSN Accountants, giving her expertise on how to make your business work for you. Pippa’s top-quality advice was the perfect way to start the day and there was certainly a golden nugget of info for everyone in the room! We also heard from Jon Graham, Director of PhysioFunction, on how he went from NHS Therapist to owning his own business. A journey that I am sure most in the room could relate to and also aspire to, great to meet you Jon! Post lunch we heard from Katie Cronin on her business journey as an associate case manager and case witness. Aaron McGonigle from Jacqueline Webb & Co shared with us the benefits of being an associate care expert and then we heard from Marketing Managers Elyse Bateson & Lisa Neighbours from PhysioFunction on the power of digital marketing. It really was a jam-packed day of knowledge!
A huge thanks must be given to Ali for organising such a good event and with the feedback received so far there will definitely need to be a repeat of it in the future!
To sweeten things up even more the event also raised over £1000 for Midlands Air Ambulance! Bravo!
